FAQs
What exactly am I purchasing?
Each NYNN piece is a hand-painted needlepoint canvas.
That means you’re purchasing the painted design on canvas, ready to be stitched.
Thread and tools are chosen separately so you can customize your colors and stitching style.
Is this suitable for beginners?
Yes!
Our designs are painted clearly and intentionally. If you can follow a color guide and repeat the same stitch in one direction, you can needlepoint.
Many stitchers start with tent stitch or basketweave: simple, beginner-friendly stitches.
What materials will I need?
To complete your piece, you’ll need thread, a needle, stretcher bars and small scissors. Your local needlepoint store or preferred retailer can help you choose the right thread type and weight based on your canvas mesh.
Many stitchers also enjoy adding a few fun and functional accessories to their setup like a needleminder to hold your needle in place, thread rings or organizers to keep fibers sorted, a project bag to store your current WIP, or even a dedicated needlepoint bag to carry multiple projects and supplies. None of these are required, but they make the stitching experience more organized and more fun.
How long does a piece take to complete?
It depends on the size of the canvas and how often you stitch.
Smaller projects may take a few evenings. Larger designs can take a few weeks or longer.
There’s no rush. Needlepoint is meant to be slow, relaxing, and enjoyable.
Do you provide finishing services?
NYNN sells the canvas only.
Once your stitching is complete (little “f” finished), a professional finisher can turn it into its final form (big “F” Finished) like a pillow, ornament, clutch, stand-up, or framed piece.
Your local needlepoint store can often help coordinate finishing services.
Are the designs limited?
Each collection drop is produced intentionally and in limited quantities. Once a design sells out, it may not return.
How should I store my canvas before starting?
Keep your canvas flat and dry.
Avoid folding it to prevent creases in the mesh.
We also recommend using a project bag to keep your canvas, threads, and other items organized in one place. It helps protect your design and keeps everything together between stitching sessions.
Many stitchers also carry a larger needlepoint bag to hold multiple WIPs, stretcher bars, scissors, and other supplies, especially if you like to stitch on the go.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes!
